1. How are you feeling now that the wedding is over?

Feeling a mix of emotions! So happy I got to marry the man of my dreams, but I also loved the planning process! I had the most amazing vendors which made the process super fun! I am also in the wedding industry so it was nice to plan my own wedding.

2. Where and why did you choose your location? 

We booked at Seacliff house in Gerringong- the south coast of NSW. The most incredible venue! We have always holidayed down the south coast so it was a special place to us. It was important to us to have accommodation on site for our family and friends and we also loved that  it was surrounded by the green hills with the ocean in the distance. From the moment we saw it, from the beautiful ceremony spot, the perfect reception space and the 5 star accommodation- it was a no brainer for us! 

3. Did you have someone style your wedding? if so, who? and what made you choose your colour palette?

I did all the planning and styling! I planned our styling around certain elements and then I wanted our florals to be the feature. One element was the plates in the reception. They were these gorgeous blue/navy and white floral plates, so for reception we had simple white and navy stationary with white candles, white napkins, crystal glassware and then all the pops of colour through our flowers with complementary rose gold cutlery. For the ceremony we had warmer elements through the seating/ styling but the florals were our feature. Allllll the colour!  We had a mix of pastel colours with pops of watermelon and peachy tones- it was honestly the most magical colour palette!! My florist nailed the brief!  

4. What was your favourite part of the wedding? 

Our band was a huge highlight for us! They were the most beautiful couple and just brought all the energy and created the most amazing atmosphere on the dancefloor! We have had so many people comment how much fun they had and wanted to use them for their upcoming events! However, of course, walking down the aisle to the guy I dreamt about, with my dad walking me down to him- was something I'll never forget!

5. How did you and your now husband meet?

He popped his head over the bar on christmas eve and introduced himself, and as they say- the rest is history! 

6. Can you tell me about your wedding dress? What made you choose that designer and style?

I purchased my dress from Karen Willis Holmes. I was looking for something super simple but classic. I wanted to feel like a bride so I got this dreamy skirt with a gorgeous bodice with a simple belt attached. It felt like a dream. 

I purchased my veil through Marina Hardwick and this was a custom veil with flowers ( I am a florist/stylist so it felt fitting!) I had got my late sister and my husbands late grandfather's name stitched into the end- so I felt like they were with us all day. This was a secret I kept from all the family, so I did a reveal with them before I walked down the aisle- it was tears all around!! I showed Rhys ( my husband) during our ceremony.

7. What made you choose to wear our BRINA earrings?

I was obsessed the moment I saw them! I was looking for a statement earring as my dress was simple. Something that stood out, that I hadn't seen before! I saw them through Karen Willis Holmes socials and knew i NEEDED them! I purchased them less than 2 weeks before the wedding and the customer service I received was something I am very grateful for as it was tight with timing. 

8. What other accessories did you style your earrings and dress with? 

Nothing! Just my gorgeous BRINA earrings and my beautiful Meg Maskell wedding/engagement rings.
